Have you been enjoying your share of Colorado singer/songwriters over the last few weeks? Well, we’ll have another for you next week, when Michael Kirkpatrick (of The Holler!) shares his new solo album, “Key To My Cage.”

This week, we’re continuing to get pumped about all things SXSW. Colorado is making a big showing at the festival and industry insiders are taking notice of both our excellent music and the radical collaborations between Colorado artists, collectives, non-profits, and local media like KRFC.

Fans and followers of Colorado rock music may recall a time when today’s MusicShare group, In The Whale, hailed from Greeley. They moved on to take Denver as their creative home but this week in Austin, TX they’ll be snugly nestled in the bosom of Northern Colorado once again when they appear at the SpokesBUZZ SXSW Showcase.

Never far from our hearts, this band is sure to do us proud in Austin. Grab a share below and head to itunes to support these fine young men.

Please note that downloads offered via KRFC MusicShare are intended to introduce you to great talent in KRFC’s community, and are NOT CD-quality recordings. If you want those, please support the artists by buying their music and/or seeing them live.

If you’re in a band or are a musician looking to share your music, email your tracks to Andrew [at] krfcfm [.] org for consideration.

Andrew Schneider is a volunteer host and booker for KRFC’s Live@Lunch, bringing the best local and visiting talent to Northern Colorado’s airwaves every Monday-Friday, Noon-1PM. He is also a veteran web developer, filmmaker, DIY venue collaborator, and KRFC’s digital media lead.
