MayaKRFC is delighted to announce that Maya Jairam will be helping out at the station for the next several months as the Interim Volunteer Coordinator. She is stepping down from her seat on the KRFC Board of Directors to serve in the interim position as we complete the planning process to conduct a search for a permanent Volunteer Coordinator.

Maya was born in Fort Collins and spent the majority of her life here. Having attended middle and high school outside of Boston, and then graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with an undergraduate degree in psychology, she decided to settle down in Fort Collins again after a year of living and traveling abroad. Maya has served on the City of Fort Collins’ Human Relations Commission for four years, culminating in her position of chair, evidencing her ongoing interest and commitment to the city and community at large. She has served on the KRFC Board of Directors since 2014 and has been the chair of several event committees.

Maya will join the staff of KRFC on Wednesday April 20th.
