Jaime‘s new album “the man with the time machine” won 2 New Mexico Music Awards, producer of the year (for jono manson) and album of the year.

In a long career that has seen him come full circle from a Boston based sincere folkie through time spent as lead vocalist for southern cult rockers the Truly Dangerous Swamp Band and back to his folk roots, songwriter and singer Jaime MIchaels has always remained true to one thing ~ the song.

In the fall of 2010, Jaime toured the West coast (where he performed a premier showcase at the FAR-West Folk Alliance conference) and for the first time, the Pacific Northwest with shows in Oregon & Washington. He also joined with the Greater New Orleans Foundation to release a single of his song “black river”, with all of the proceeds being donated to the Foundation to help Gulf residents still being adversely affected by this year’s oil spill.

The upcoming year, 2011, will start with an Official Performance Alley showcase at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis. February 1, 2011, is the scheduled release date for Jaime’s 8th solo album, “the man with the time machine”which includies guest appearances from Blues Traveler’s John Popper, accordionist Joel Guzman, banjo wizard Jeff Scroggins, mandolin player Sharon Gilchrist and Austin duo, the Flyin’ A’s..

This is Michaels’ best work yet. At least so far…
